Breast Lift

The breast lift or mastopexy is a surgical procedure that manages to elevate, enhance and give better shape to the breasts that have fallen. In many cases, we associate the inclusion of implants with mastopexy, to replace the volume lost after lactation or weight loss. A prior evaluation is essential to decide the treatment strategy. We make incisions to lift the breast and, at the same time, reduce and reposition the nipple areola complex.

Depending on the degree of laxity of the breast tissues, the resulting scar will be:

  • Periareolar
  • Periareolar and vertical.
  • Periareolar, vertical and horizontal, (in inverted T).
  • We always try to obtain the best possible aesthetic result, with the smallest scar.

What to expect after my surgery?

It is likely that you have a very good clinical outcome of breast surgery. She can feel better about her appearance and herself. You may need to use a special support bra for a few months. The scars are permanent and often remain highly visible for a year after surgery. After the year, they may fade, but they will not become invisible. The surgeon will treat to make the cuts so that the scars are not visible. Surgical cuts are usually made in the lower part of the breast. Scars will not usually be noticeable, even in clothes with deep cleavage. Normal aging, pregnancy and changes in weight can cause the breasts to fall again.
