The breast lift or mastopexy is a surgical procedure that manages to elevate, enhance and give better shape to the breasts that have fallen. In many cases, we associate the inclusion of implants with mastopexy, to replace the volume lost after lactation or weight loss. A prior evaluation is essential to decide the treatment strategy. We make incisions to lift the breast and, at the same time, reduce and reposition the nipple areola complex.
Depending on the degree of laxity of the breast tissues, the resulting scar will be:
- Periareolar and vertical.
- Periareolar, vertical and horizontal, (in inverted T).
- We always try to obtain the best possible aesthetic result, with the smallest scar.
