Dr. Lourdes Rodríguez is a full-fledged plastic surgeon, with six-year postgraduate studies at the University of Brazil Santa Casa Da Misericordia in Rio de Janeiro and the Fluminense Federal University in Niterói, high-school centers where she concluded with high qualifications General Surgery and specialty in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she completed her Doctor of Medicine studies at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in 2011 and her baccalaureate and primary studies at Loyola College from this same city.

During her studies in Brazil, due to her academic application and discipline, she was selected to perform the meritorious role of Chief Resident of her class, being the first foreigner to achieve that distinction. At the end she was recognized with the highest grade in her graduation thesis, she obtained 10 points out of a total of 10.

In her training as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon she had the privilege of having a mentor to Dr. Prof. Antonio Sergio Guimarães, a recognized eminence in the world of plastic surgery and first microsurgeon trained outside of Brazil.

Asnpart of her professional training she made several rotations in Plastic Surgery in hospitals in Brazil and in the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida, USA.

Her professional practice as a plastic surgeon has been guided by her strong vocation of service and social sensitivity cultivated since childhood in the home and by her Christian formation.
