I planned my trip to the Dominican to see another doctor. It didn’t work out thank God, because my blood levels were off and while in the country I found out he wasn’t a safe surgeon. Getting home to my babies was my #1 concern. I was introduced to Dra. Lourdes by the family I was staying with and I had the opportunity to meet 2 of her patients in recovery, who had nothing but great things to say about her. The first thing that stuck out to me was she came to see me! I never got to speak directly to another surgeon. Only their assistants. I explained my current situation and how I needed to work on my blood work. She made sure that I met with a specialist to ensure that it was safe to proceed with my procedure. She speaks perfect English and answered all of my questions. I have the ability to message her anytime with my questions and concerns and she will respond. I don’t think I could have received that type of care and patience from a doctor in the US. She only does 1 procedure a day which to me was important.
